Every second that passes, your love continues to grow, and there will never be a second that passes that you do not feel loved. Meaningful father and daughter tattoos.

Multiple Investigators. After my last 2-Investigator game, I was explaining this issue to one of the players and proposed the 'scale the time between events.

Eldritch is basically as replayable as Arkham Horror.

I haven't played MoM enough yet to see if it's actually that replayable, but unless the scenarios change up more than just different monster spawns, I don't think there is much for replayability once you solve the mystery. With only 4 (5?) scenarios in the base game, $100 doesn't get you very far.Personally, my vote goes Arkham Horror Eldritch Horror MoM Elder Sign.I like Elder Sign, but it can be incredibly frustrating once you start to lose on rolls and have no items to help with the cards. So Arkham Horror's and Eldritch Horror's replayability are based on the Ancient One, the Location decks, the items and the characters used not to mention the additional boards/modules for both Eldritch and Arkham.MoM 2nd Edition seems a bit limited for replayability, but I've not replayed a scenario twice yet (only had the game for like a week), but the scenario seems far more strict in the clue/story aspect. The app spawns monsters and boards based on which physical content you actually own, so theoretically the more content you own the more different a scenario could play out in landscape and in monster/item content. Again, it's all conjecture at this point as I have limited experience with it, but I don't think it's quite akin to choosing new investigators like in Arkham or Eldritch and battling the same ancient one again.

Background: I really love the FFG Cthulhuverse games and I have them all + all their respective expansions - though I will drop out of Arkham Horror the LCG soon because it's just too much to keep up. I might pick up again some point. Right now, I've got enough to last me for a while.I was personally fairly disappointed with Eldritch Horror, after having played Arkham Horror for years and owning all the expansions. My friends really enjoy EH, but I personally think AH, despite its flaws, is the better game. After years of AH, EH felt like a 'lite' AH - the expansions have helped EH, though. After dozens of plays, I can still safely say that I'll enjoy AH, even if I play just the base game. I can't say the same for EH.

The expansions have helped a lot, but if I'm going to put in the time to play EH, I might as well play AH. My girlfriend prefers AH as well, for the same reasons.Mansions of Madness 2e is a very enjoyable game. Compared to 1e, the setup time is lower and it allows me to not be the Keeper, which I enjoy since I prefer the investigators. I've played all the scenarios multiple times and they are still great. Sure, we know the story and general flow, but the real challenge is in surviving the scenario and completing the objectives. It helps that there are slight variations in the scenarios each time you play. There are also player made scenarios out there, which you can play through a 3rd party app (sorry, I am on mobile and don't have a link ready, will edit later)If you already have Arkham, but feel like it's a bit too clunky, Eldritch might be more your thing.

If you have the money, MoM 2e is definitely a good game and I can honestly recommend it. The idea that once you're done with a scenario in Mansions of Madness it's boring to replay it sort of implies that you don't enjoy the gameplay much and are just in it to know what happens. If this is you, then no, they aren't terribly replayable. If you enjoy the gameplay, and enjoy trying to complete the mission (particularly if you can get into the roleplaying a bit), it doesn't matter much that you already know how from the outset, and replayability is fine.

I'm somewhere in the middle. I could do without playing the Cycle of Eternity scenario again for a while, but I've played it probably around 7 times now, played Escape from Innsmouth twice, Cult of Sentinel Hill 3 or 4 times, and Vengeful Impulses once. I haven't even touched the others. My girlfriend, on the other hand, is completely fine with playing the same scenario over and over. She just loves the Mansions of Madness experience.

She loves the way the app works with the game, the music it plays, the dice rolling, and using Wendy Adams to punch monsters. It never gets old for her.My.

Comments with spoilers must hide the comment using spoiler tags: !Spoiler here! Unfortunately it can. The point of the upgrade pack is to make the first edition compatible with the second edition because there was a lot of content that changed between first and second edition. If you decide you want those characters/monsters/tiles, there are two tile/character expansions.Recurring Nightmares is the base game with just the tiles, Suppressed Memories is the Call of the Wild expansion and the Forbidden Alchemy expansion for 1st edition. If you buy Recurring Nightmares or Suppressed Memories, it comes with character models, tiles, and monsters, but none of the content in the upgrade pack.

If you own only base 2E and no 1E content, you can use the original content by checkmarking that you have it in the app.The issues you will find are:.You need minis for the investigators. If you have everything of Eldritch/Arkham Horror you can use those standees - or you can scan the pictures on the cards and make your own paper standees!.You need minis for the monsters. Or, you know, they have pretty pictures on the counters and you can just use the counters alone.

Or scan those pictures to make pretty paper standees!.You need the tiles for the maps, if they get used. Keep some index cards, scissors, and colored pencils handy because the app will show you what the tiles look like.

Just hand-draw your own proxies from what is shown on the app!Note you have to do all 3 of these, as each 1E piece of content will add investigators and monsters and tiles together. However, if you aren't an uber component snob (ie, you can tolerate off-components) then you should have no issues using the upgrade pack without owning the upgrade content.Have fun!.
