Echo Park
MANDATORY CITYWIDE PARK CLOSURE NOTICES FOR ALL PARKS AND BEACHES RELATED TO THE. 751 Echo Park Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90026.
In the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, everyone is more than they initially seem. May waits tables, raises a son, Henry, and is an aspiring actress.
She needs a roommate and takes in a pizza deliverer named Jonathan, an aspiring songwriter. In the adjoining flat is August, an Austrian body sculptor who appears in a deodorant commercial and dreams big dreams. May takes a job delivering singing telegrams as a stripper, Jonathan invites Henry to tag along with him on deliveries, August gets into trouble with the police who call his father in Austria, and the friendships, frustrations, and love affairs of everyday life come to a head.
I was positively impressed on my first ever visit to EchoPark Charlotte. It was different because I first had to set an appointment. Everything went as planned since they did have me listed as an expected visitor. I met George Harris, who turned out to be a knowledgeable and attentive salesman. Upon my next day visit, I arrived back and found my selected vehicle was all ready for me to drive it off the lot. The deal negotiating stage was smoother and more non-combative than I had prepped myself to expect.
When finished, we wrapped up a win-win situation. I was initially concerned about buying a vehicle from EchoPark due to the reviews on this site. I am glad we trusted our instinct and gave them a chance. We bought a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited at the San Antonio, Texas location. We worked with Tino Caballero and Martin Johnston.
To say I was impressed is an understatement. They took a lot of time with us, were very patient, answered all of our questions in a a thorough knowledgeable way that we had not experienced in other dealerships. I would give them a chance. Thanks, EchoPark! My son bought a truck here. Thank goodness my husband was available to help him with the final paperwork.
The finance guy had sold him on a 'care package' that would've significantly increased his loan and took advantage of a young man buying his first vehicle. Now we are dealing with delay after delay while attempting to get the title so that we can register the vehicle. Echopark makes nothing but excuses.
It has been over two months and still waiting. All we get is apologies but no action. Customer service after you sign the dotted line is atrocious. My wife and I had a very pleasant experience with EchoPark Automotive in Houston, TX. Our sales rep John Nguyen was very patient with us. We are the type to look at a lot of cars to see which one best fits us for the price.
I think we looked at 15 cars narrowed it down to 2. Test drove the 2 cars and then could not decide. Said we would think about our choices and would come back next week.
They did not press us. We thought about it, made a decision and came back 2 days later. The car was still there so we purchased it.
It took about 2 hours and we were out of there with our new to us car. If we buy another car I'm sure this will be the first place we look at. The cars are as is. If they have the mats you get the mats. One of the cars only had one key.
So make sure you ask a lot of questions and get what you want. Again a very pleasant experience. Purchased a Lincoln MKZ on the 29th of September 2019 in Grand Prairie; it was home for a few days and noticed fluid in the passenger floorboard. I attempted to contact my salesperson using the email he provided on his business card without response.
I took the car to a local dealership where it stayed in the shop from the 2nd of October - 25 to have the evaporator core replaced. I've got to pay for insurance and have the 1st payment due all while not being able to drive the car.
Vehicle only came with one fob and I got to purchase a new one, security code was not provided and was told it would be located and and mailed along with a $25 gift card because the car was not detailed on the date of purchase; still waiting on the gift card and factory set code. I purchased a 250 GLA 2016 about 5 weeks ago. The 2nd week I drove the car. I noticed a giant water stain by my sunroof, I had also opened up the bottom of my trunk space and found broken glass everywhere.I thought to myself that this car couldn’t have a leak? It must go through several inspections. I live in the San Antonio area.
So the service center is in New Braunfels. I drove all the way for them to tel me to take it to Mercedes in San Antonio since it’s still under warranty.
Mercedes informed me that the rear window was replaced. And not put in right. They fixed the leak but found another.
Mercedes explained this to echo park. Echo park took 3 days to go pick up my vehicle from Mercedes. They took it to their service center. Where I was “ told” they ordered the wrong part so I had to wait another 2 days. I also want to add I wasn’t offered a loner vehicle until after the 2nd week I was out of mine. I STILL don’t have my car. I bought the car September 23rd.
Took the car to New Braunfels October 10th to be told to drop it off on the 15th toMercedes. Car was ready for pick up on the 17th of October at Mercedes, Echo park didn’t pick up until 19th of October. It’s been at their “ shop” ever since.
All my updates include “ unfortunately we ordered wrong part.” If you know what’s wrong with the car in the first place WHY CAN’T you look at everything wrong with it. The customer is NOT your boss. You should know what to do.
Not the customer. I very much want to return this car for a full refund. I would first say that the lobby is comforting. But, that is where it ends. I counted about six sales people standing around doing nothing. The salesperson, I think her name was Nan, seemed unhappy with her job, and Echopark, in general (even the free coffee). No real enthusiasm regarding the vehicles and the sales process. What made the experience worst was when the salesperson, Nan, 'snapped' at me for saying that vehicles made in Mexico were poor quality because of low wages. Finally, I took the 2019 Ram truck for a test drive and the transmission 'shook'.
It only had 12,000 miles on it. I found out, according to Nan, all of yhe vehicles are taken on joy rides by the sales people, which explains this!Echopark is a scam- no bargains here, and unprofessional customer service! Buyer Beware! OK, I have bought and sold a car at this place.
If you understand their get up and go before you visit, you will not be disappointed. So here is the real deal.Echo Park claims to sell accident free cars that are no more than 4 years old.
Most cars still under the original manufacturers warranty. This is true. Their cars are from lease returns and rental company cars or trade-ins from people selling their car like I did. Most of the cars seem to be clean, a lot better than CARMAX.
Never buy a car from CARMAX. Anyways, they give a good penny for your car as a trade in or direct sale to them. They do not have a high mark up on their cars. The profit margin is very tight. If they do not sell a car within 30 days they mark it down to where someone could get a great deal with no haggle on the price., So they have to make up that loss somewhere else. Hence, the warranty and financing end of things which will come at you in the latter stages of your buying experience. I never buy warranties as I think they don't pay.
I learned the hard way a couple of times earlier in life and added those costly expenses in the financing. When something happens you think should be covered in the warranty, the usual answer is, OH that is not covered under the warranty you chose. Sorry partner. They do not let you get your own financing because they don't make a spread on the rate that way. They control the financing part so they can get a couple points over the life of the car loan which generates HUGE profits for them! Most people do not realize this sneaky little trick. I am in finance, so I understand the system they are running.
I called my credit union in advance and got a quote after they checked my credentials. (income, credit and debts). So I knew going in what my rate and term should be on the car I was interested in.
I called Echo Park and explained to the manager up front who my credit union was and I was only willing to purchase if they used them and I got the particular financing quoted by my credit union. Fortunately, they were on the approved list of credit unions they dealt with. The manager was very reluctant to give me the rate I already had been quoted and did even admit to me they make a small spread on each deal they do since their profit margins are so tight on the vehicles. Anyways, he granted me the rate I was quoted, only, I think they may get a discounted rate for sending lots of business to the credit unions and then may have made a very small spread. I did not care as I planed to refinance the vehicle within a couple of months with more money down on the loan at a lower rate and shorter term. One very important thing to know. They do not sell cars that have been in an accident which is great, however, they have many cars on their lots that have been repainted in certain spots or areas of the car.
SO INSPECT THE PAINT EVERYWHERE on the car. If you see dull spots compared to sharp and shiny spots, the car was painted.

The paint repairs they have done on their cars are like the cheapest, and worst quality, kind of like MACCO. I assume some of the cars they purchase have slight damage from shipping or slight damage on rental cars. I believe they have various body shops under contract that fix many of their cars before going on their lots. Otherwise their cars mostly have low miles and are in decent condition. I would look at the carfax and make sure the car you are interested in was not a rental of any kind. These rental cars may look clean and nice, but most have been abused. Other than that, the people are nice and easy to deal with, the dealerships are nice and clean.
Oh the reason I said do not buy anything from CARMAX is because their cars are way overpriced, mostly junk, dirty and have issues. That is why they give you 7 day trial to return. Echo Park does not let you return the car once the purchase has been executed. You do get a 30 day 1000 mile warranty they claim is for anything that goes wrong, which is good. So all in all a pretty decent place. I live in Charleston, Sc and bought a car from Echo Park in Charlotte, NC.

This was one of the worst mistakes I have ever made. Unfortunately, the salesperson told me the dealership would register the car and I would receive the car tag in a month. A month later my tag was expired. I called the dealership and was told the dealership didn’t have my phone#, home address, or email address to give me the information to register the car. I’m shocked how someone can lie. The dealership had all my information.
I was told how to register the car in my town and was told to send a copy. I complied and sent a copy of the paid taxes. I was told I would receive the tag in a few days. A week later, no tag.
I called Echo park today and was told the tag would be over nighted tomorrow. At this point I have no confidence in this company and I’m not sure I will ever receive the tag. If you are looking for a good dealership, look elsewhere. In a month I have had to buy a new tire, have the car serviced, and drive on expired tags. I’m praying I don’t get stopped by the police with expired tags. My wife and I purchased a vehicle on around 7:30 pm from this location. Everything 'seemed' to be perfectly fine with the vehicle.
On, so within about 1 and half days of driving the vehicle the check engine light turned On and the vehicle seemed to being driving a little odd. The RPM's would rev up and the vehicle seemed to not want to accelerate. It was later in the evening so the only thing I could do at the time was to take to an Autozone and check the code to see what caused the check engine light to go on. I got the code ' P0507 ' - which indicated it was the' Idle Air Control – RPM Higher than Expected' - So the exact way the car was driving, is the error the system gave. I called EchoPark to set up an appointment to have it serviced.
Now, when we purchased the car, we were told that there is a 30 day/1000 mile warranty for the vehicle to ensure everything on the car is ok. That anything with the Engine or Transmission would be covered - We went to the appointment that following Monday. We were told that the Tech checked the vehicle, and received the SAME error code, however instead of fixing the issue or replacing the part that clearly caused the check engine light to go on in the first place. We were told ' it seems to be working properly now' and its not covered by the so called 'Warranty' the dealership provides.
I personally spoke to a manager Michael, who told me that even though the check engine light came on, that I verified the error code, that his tech also verified the error code. That regardless, they would not be able to fix the issue because it was a ' computer glitch' (which should now I be concerned about the computer system in the vehicle if is giving false errors that both myself and their tech confirmed) - This is ridiculous. Within a day and a half of buying this car and validating all info, they still refuse to assist and replace the part which is around $500.00 - I do not recommend this place whatsoever and we will not be back to purchase the 2nd vehicle we were looking at. Thanks to the team in Colorado Spring I was able to trade my truck in for a fair amount and Anthony Hurt worked extra hard to get me the right vehicle that fitted all my needs. He was so friendly from the beginning, never once pushy. Very knowledgeable about the vehicles, answered all my questions, plus more.
It was an absolute pleasure working with you, thank you Anthony! 5 stars because the company was clean and well organized. Staff was extremely friendly. Tablets were user friendly and easy to view all options.
Financing department was quick and efficient. And lastly, I got an even better vehicle than the one I originally came for! Echopark has a transparent, simple and enjoyable way of selling cars. The opposite from all the other dealerships I previously visited in the Denver area. Thanks to Paul Kaiser, Sarah Clark and Michael Brabham, my experience was superb and I will definitely repeat in my next car purchase. In addition, Echopark prices are competitive and the warranties and benefits for a used car are excellent.
I highly recommend Echopark Thornton and specially working with Paul, Sarah and Michael. Thank you guys!
