Dragon Age 2 Night Terrors
I am thinking about bringing Merrill, Anders and Isabella. I heard Anders will not be tempted by anything because he has Justice with him.

I also heard Isabella will be tempted but if you say the Sarcastic/ Funny/ Witty option she won't fight you i also heard the same thing with Merrill. I am also working on Romancing Merrill so will this mess it up she is 100 percent friend Anders is about 95 percent and Isabella is 50.
Dragon Age 2 - Night Terrors? I'm already in the fade I have Varric, Merill, and Isabella with me. Is there any way I cannot have them turn on me? When Merill does on the first demon she instantly dies does it have to do with her equipment or something? When I face the Desire demon I die I think isabela is a lot stronger then I am.
I want to keep everyone alive and i want to keep my romance with Merrill. To tell you the truth I think only Anders is immune to the Demon's offer. Merill will betray you for sure even if you have her on high friendship she will always chose the demon. Isabella I could never keep her from betraying me either even when she was had allot of friendship.
I do not remember if I am correct but I think Varric didn't betray me once but I also know he betrays you too sometimes. I just try to keep Merril away from it if I'm romancing her so I get no rivalry, otherwise I think everyone else betrays you except Anders of-course. They'll fight you - though it's not a true betrayal, as the demons mind control them into doing things that are out of character - but it doesn't affect your standing with them in a major way.
At worst, you'll lose some points here and there based on your responses - more so with Anders depending on your actions - but they're easily gained back.Be snarky/witty/charming to Merrill and Isabela, and they'll give you points of friendship. Don't accept the deal with Torpor, and Anders/Justice won't fight you.SPOILERS, THOUGH THEY ARE HELPFUL.But Merrill approves if you hear him out and gain information on the demons, but when you're done with that, don't accept the deal.Basically, say 'I'll hear you out', ask questions about Feynriel's state of mind and the demons, and then refuse to deal with the demon. Merrill won't give you rivalry. If you claim you're going to assist the demon, she'll approve, but only because she believes your intent is to play the demon before he plays you.
She doesn't actually support the demon taking control of Feynriel.END OF THE HELPFUL SPOILERS. From GameBanshee:Anders will betray you at the demon Torpor (#5) if you try to deal with it.One out of Aveline and Isabela will betray you at the demon Caress (#6).One out of Fenris, Merrill and Varric will betray you at the demon Wryme (#7).There you have it.
Unless you have all DLCs, you'll lose at least one companion. Otherwise, bring Anders, Sebastian and Tallis. You can limit it to one betrayal by not bringing companions from both groups (for example, if you bring Anders, Aveline and Isabela, or Fenris, Merrill and Varric, you'll lose only one companion).
Hunter blades replacement. That said, betrayal isn't a bad thing, as it gives you an opportunity for frienship points later. After a few seconds of dialogue.
It doesn't really make any sense, unless the developers were trying to insinuate that all of Hawke's companions really, really hate him (and want him dead). It's actually done to show how demons can easily manipulate people, even if they are 'prepared' as Merrill was, or think themselves resistant to such things, as Fenris does, and so on. It's a tool to show how mages aren't the only ones capable of being tempted/corrupted by demons. Anders is only resistant because Justice has independent awareness in the Fade and is not influenced by the demons' words. The only downside to this whole quest is that Hawke is never tempted. I suppose you could argue that the demons are trying to get revenge on Hawke for taking away their dreamer by only seeking to manipulate the companions, but. It just seems like one of those 'my PC is special and beyond such influences' type of things.Edited by nightscrawl, 05 April 2012 - 05:49 PM.
